Why is Learning Tajweed Non-Negotiable?

Tajweed means “to improve” or “to make better.” It is the set of rules that govern the pronunciation of each letter, its characteristics, and its interaction with other letters. Without Tajweed, the meaning of the Quran can inadvertently be changed. Learning Tajweed is not an optional advanced study; it is an essential duty for every reciter to protect the Quran from distortion and to fulfill the command to “recite the Quran with measured recitation” (Quran 73:4).

The Tajweed course will help to get in the right mindset when reading the Quran. The Arabic language is written with a special type of lettering. It can be difficult for non-Arabic speakers to understand, but the Tajweed course will teach you how to get into the right frame of mind when you are reading the Quran.   - Noon Sakinah & Tanween: Mastering Izhar, Idgham, Iqlab, and Ikhfa with their different levels.
  - Meem Sakinah: Rules of Ikhfa Shafawi, Idgham Shafawi, and Izhar Shafawi.
  - Madd (Elongation): Learning the various types of Madd (Natural, Secondary, Obligatory, etc.) and their precise timing.
  - Rules of Lam & Raa: Understanding when they are heavy (Tafkheem) and light (Tarqeeq).
4. Advanced Concepts: Stopping and starting rules (Waqf & Ibtida), the Hamzatul Wasl, and qualities of strength/weakness.

We Devide Our Lessons In 3 Parts:

Quran

The first 20 minutes of the class are dedicated to the learning of Quran lessons.

Dua

The next 5 minutes are for memorization of small Surahs and Duas (Supplications).

Tarbia

The last 5 minutes are dedicated to basic Islamic teachings and moral values of Islam.
