Why is the Nazra Course So Important?

Nazra (which means “to read aloud”) is the art of reading the Quranic Arabic script with correct pronunciation. It’s not about memorization or translation at this stage, but about building a strong, unshakable foundation. Without proper Nazra, Tajweed (rules of recitation) cannot be achieved. This course is the key that unlocks the door to a lifelong, intimate relationship with the Quran.

Course objectives –

What Will You Learn in Our Basic Quran Reading Course?

Our comprehensive curriculum is delivered with patience and expertise by our certified Quran tutors:

Arabic Alphabet Mastery: Learn each letter in its isolated form—recognizing its shape and sound.
Harakat (Vowels): Understand Fatha, Kasra, Damma (short vowels) and how they change a letter’s sound.
Tanween & Madd Letters: Introduction to noonation and elongation letters.
Sukoon & Shaddah: Learn to read letters with stillness and emphasis.
Joining Letters: Move from single letters to forming complete words, just as they appear in the Quran.
Fluency Building: Practice reading words, then short verses (ayahs), with a focus on smoothness and accuracy.
Foundational Tajweed: While not an advanced Tajweed course, we introduce the basic rules necessary for correct pronunciation from day one

Duration to Complete

There is no deadline to complete the “Basic Quran Reading for Kids”. It all depends on the child’s ability and basic abilities. If the child is able and has a strong ability to read the Quran, then he can complete the course of reading the Quran in twelve months. And if the child’s basic abilities are weak or the child is not able to pay full attention, it may take longer. Children between the ages of ten and fifteen usually take two to two and a half years to complete this course.

Method of Teaching

Our expert teachers share screens with students during lessons. The lessons they teach are open to both teacher and student at the same time. After that, the teachers make the children read the Quran along with them by repeating every verse themselves. Then they give the students a chance to read it once. Sometimes this is not necessary if the child already has a strong foundation for reading the Quran.

While reading the lesson, our teachers also take care that the children use the correct pronunciation. They read the Quran to the children according to the principles of Tajweed.

The child is then given the task of memorizing his/her homework lesson. Then the next day, the teacher hears the lesson from the student. The previous lessons are also tested once a month.

At the end, the teacher teaches the students prayers and supplications etc. and gives them as homework to memorize the lessons related to prayers and supplications. We urge our teachers to provide good religious training to the students in a friendly environment and to motivate them to live their lives according to the commandments of Allah and the way of the His Holy Prophet (S.A.W). And teachers should inculcate in children a desire to follow the Sunnah. It makes children want to be obedient to their parents. And that the children should observe the prayers.

These online classes are offered through WhatsApp, Skype, Zoom and other platforms. The duration of this lesson is about 30 minutes. If a student needs it, the duration of the lesson can be extended after consultation with the parents and guardian.
